Keri Bailey is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University who holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance where she studied with Guy Few. She is an active member of multiple ensembles in the area such as the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and the Wellington Winds Symphony.
Her journey with the trumpet began in high school, sparked by an influential band teacher who introduced her to the world of brass instruments. This early encouragement laid the foundation for a lifelong love of music and a strong belief in the importance of mentorship and music education. With her experience playing in chamber groups such as brass trios, quintets, 10 piece, and brass ensemble, Keri is a strong advocate for the importance of growth and learning through music and collaboration. Keri has traveled near and far to share her love for the trumpet. While participating in Domaine Forget’s trumpet intensive, she had the opportunity to study under professionals such as Mary-Elizabeth Bowden, Karen Donnelly, Jeroen Berwaerts and others to broaden her knowledge and experience as a trumpeter. She has also travelled to South Korea to participate in the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Conference of 2024 to perform with their Wind Orchestra, WYWO. Additionally, she has worked with youth of all ages at the International Music Camp in the International Peace Gardens, on both the border of Manitoba and North Dakota. |
Keri would love to meet you! Let's get started. |
