Khang is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in music. He started his classical guitar training under the tutelage of Magdalena Tomsinska, and completed studies under Terry McKenna. He currently holds a position with the Kitchener-Waterloo Guitar Orchestra, led by Mariette Stephenson. He also enjoys playing electric bass in addition to guitar.
Khang holds a deep love of teaching, which led him to spending 5+ years teaching abroad after graduating. During his studies he was a volunteer instructor with the then newly founded Community Music School of the Waterloo Region. Now back in his native Waterloo Region, Khang dedicates himself full-time to teaching students of all ages and levels. Khang joined the Sound Factory Music School faculty in spring 2024. |
