Drums, Timpani, Marimba, Percussion |
Max hails from Oshawa, Ontario, and is now based in Kitchener-Waterloo. He is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, with an Honours BMus in percussion performance. He has worked with many organizations in the Tri-City area including NUMUS, Open Ears, the Stratford Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, and currently holds the position principal percussion with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra Symphony Orchestra.
Max's believes that as a drummer and percussionist you are given the chance to explore a wide array of sounds—wooden, metal, air, and many other types of sounds, and strives to open students' ears to the varieties that percussion has to offer while also exploring the music they love the most. In 2018, Max won the Laurier Concerto Competition, and KWCO’s Concerto competition playing Emmanuel Sejourne’s Marimba Concerto. Max joined the Sound Factory Music School in 2024. |
