, wAdam Buschlen is a Canadian solo artist, professional studio musician, and specialized music instructor. Starting his music career in 1991, he has been a part of the KW music scene for 25+ years as a bassist (double bass and electric)/guitar player/singer-songwriter. He specializes in musical styles including rock, blues, jazz, country and classical. He has released 2 solo albums (‘Ride’ 2005, an eclectic blend of acoustic, folk and country while maintaining a roots-rock undercurrent, and ‘Roll With It’ 2010, roots/rock genre) and Adam has played on numerous other artists’ records as a studio musician. Adam’s track ‘We’ve Got It’ was used in the CMT reality show, "Unstable"; I On Music (Rogers TV) covered a Concert Series including video of the show as well as a one-on-one interview. U postings on YouTube have sparked interest in the making of a new video for Adam’s track ‘Fire’.
Adam has toured across Canada and the United States playing at various famous venues and festivals along-side Steve Strongman, Jamie Warren, The Travoltas, Western Swing Authority, Mike Erb Trio, Chris Chambers Band, Diane Chase, Vanyah. and the Shannon Lyon Pop Explosion. You can also catch him playing regularly throughout KW, Guelph, Burlington, Toronto and Hamilton with various artists and bands. Teaching music has been an important part of Adam’s career as a professional musician. He has taught hundreds of students over the past 15 years ranging in age from 6 to 60 years. He has extensive experience teaching private lessons in bass, guitar, ukulele, as well as experience leading band camps and elementary classroom music sessions. This passion for teaching has led him down his newest adventure – returning to school to attain a music degree from the prestigious Wilfrid Laurier University, obtaining his B.Mus. in 2021 studying classical double bass under the supervision of Ian Whitman (principal double bass of the KW Symphony). He has also taken specialty courses in classical guitar and vocal instruction, and reached the grade 6 level in piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is excited to bring his growing knowledge and experience to the Sound Factory!
