We have been with Sound Factory for almost 8 years. They were the only school that were willing to take on a four year old little man who was fiercely in love with Drums. He has been playing with Sound Factory every since and has now added 6 years on Guitar and a year in vocal as well. His sister also does vocal (4 years) with Sound Factory. The lessons are well run and the instructors are extremely well versed in what they do. They balance interest with practical and theory. As well, Their Music Recording Camp...is AMAZING! Kids get to learn how to record their own single from writing the single to post production and even art. Truly a once in a lifetime experience for these kids to really put their own spin on their love of music.
Sound Factory has built an awesome musical community as well and I look forward as much to getting together with my musical family as my kids do.

We have taken a variety of instruments...drums, guitar, and piano - over the last 5 years...We have had positive interactions with all instructors and have found the owner, James, to be understanding and accommodating whenever there was a need to reschedule. Even during the pandemic, everyone at the studio has continued to be supportive and accommodating as we move lessons online. I would recommend checking out this studio if you live nearby!

Our experience with Sound Factory Music School has been first-class in every respect. Our daughter has taken guitar lessons with Joe Dunn for more than 5 years. Joe is amazing! Professional yet personable. He understands children and sets expectations perfectly to challenge and encourage simultaneously. A great teacher overall with excellent technical knowledge, practical experience as a musician, and personal warmth and kindness in relationships. As well, the school is extremely well-managed by James Stockton. Communication has been punctual and thorough, even through challenging times like the pandemic! Schedules and occasional blips have been handled with flexibility and respect. Two thumbs way up!

My son is doing piano lessons with Chadd. I was worried that my 6 year old would be a frustrating student but Chadd is awesome with him!! Super patient and incredibly friendly. I think my favourite part is that even though the rooms are sound proof, I can still hear bits of music floating around. It's very comforting and homey. Tonight I heard a little bagpipe and drums which put a big smile on my face. This place has a great atmosphere and really reasonable prices. 5/5 would recommend!
