Spring and Winter Concerts
Concert Dates TBD (we're monitoring the public health conditions in our community as we consider our plans for large concerts).
We regularly expect to welcome a marquee showcase of over 150 young musicians performing throughout the afternoon. All are welcome to come and support the performers, and we look forward to seeing parents, siblings, extended family and friends! Concerts are organized courtesy of the Sound Factory Music School and are free to attend for all who wish to be a part of this great day. The Sound Factory Music School presents two student concerts per year. Watch for details about the next dates in the fall. |
Ed Neigh - Bagpipes
August 2015. Ed was renowned within the Bagpiping Community both in Ontario and abroad, and internationally respected as a player, instructor, and adjudicator. Ed taught students of all ages at the Sound Factory Music School for several years and was a good friend and mentor. We will miss you dearly Ed. |
Stephen Todd - Bodhran
May 2020. Stephen was a prominent member of Celtic/folk music community in Waterloo region as the singer/bodhran player fronting the popular Irish band Failte, and had shared the stage with the likes of the Chieftains to John Allan Cameron, to Michael Burgess. He had a smile and a story for everyone he met and his talent, voice, and personal warmth will be dearly missed. |
Jeanette Bauman - Piano
July 2021. Jeanette was a gifted pianist, and a wonderful, warm, caring teacher with decades of experience who was able to connect on a very personal level with her young students. She was a member of our team for only a short time, but we're grateful for having had the time with her. |
